World Champion Again! 4Paradigm Wins the BNP Paribas International Hackathon
The BNP Paribas International Hackathon is the top competition in international financial technology. Hosted annually by BNP Paribas, famous technology companies from around the world are invited to use creative schemes and practical ideas to address weaknesses in the banking industry and encourage technological upgrades. Each year, the competition attracts hundreds of teams from around the world and is followed by leading media outlets, including Agence France-Presse and Reuters. The world champion team’s solution gain the opportunity to become widely applied at BNP Paribas and other top financial institutions around the world, and bring great benefits to customers in the financial industry. Therefore, in international financial circles, the BNP Paribas International Hackathon is also known as the "crown jewel" of hackathons.
The theme of this year's BNP Paribas International Hackathon was to solve the classic problem that has plagued the banking industry for a long time: how to improve efficiency, control risks, and optimize user experience in the consumer credit business. BNP Paribas and the Bank of Nanjing provided a large amount of real and anonymous data to simulate real-world conditions. 4Paradigm took an approach focused on a "core system of consumer finance wisdom", which can help banks quickly incubate artificial intelligence applications in various consumer finance scenarios, such as application anti-fraud, transaction anti-fraud, intelligent customer acquisition, precision marketing, differentiated pricing, and intelligent collection. At the final stage of the competition, the jury praised the scheme and effects of 4Paradigm’s entry. 4Paradigm was invited to have in-depth exchanges with senior managers of BNP Paribas, Bank Of Nanjing and other financial institutions on core banking issues of Banks, and discussed the future direction of strategic cooperation.
